Soba App
Use the hardware you already own
An app asks. Your machine answers, on the plan you already hold, through Ollama. There is nothing more to buy, and your login never leaves the computer it is on.
- Uses
- your own hardware
- Costs you
- free, you already bought it, already paid
- Runs on
- macOS, Windows and Linux
- Never leaves
- Your login and your keys
Three steps, once
-
Have Ollama working
Install Ollama, then pull a model with
ollama pullbefore you pair. -
Install Soba App and paste the link
Open the app's settings and choose to connect your own AI. It gives you a link with its own connect key in it; paste that into the Soba app.
https://soba.so/c/pk_soba_… -
Approve the code in your browser
It shows you eight characters. You approve them where you are already signed in to that app, and the machine starts serving. Nothing is copied and pasted, because the credential is written straight to your machine and is never displayed to anyone.
Why it works this way
Nothing is metered because nothing is bought: the model runs on silicon you own. It is the only tier no provider can revoke, and the only one that works with the network off.
Every run is served at user-hardware, which is Soba's word
for who already paid. Anything that would cost you money on top stops rather than quietly
spending it.
What the app gets, and what it does not
It gets the answer, and how much was used so it can show you. It does not get the account that produced it, any key you have pasted on that machine, or any file the agent read while it worked. Those never leave the computer.
